As I knew the site would be relatively light on content and to minimise the need for interaction, I opted for a single-page design. The menu becomes fixed as one scrolls down the page, allowing the user to navigate the site quickly and efficiently.
The logo had already been designed and thus formed the base of the design, but the colour scheme had not been decided upon yet. While I was looking for inspiration I found some photos of night skies that I decided to use as background images to embellish the design. My client liked the idea of a red logo, so I suggested a vibrant red and edited the photos to give them a deep purple-blue sheen, offering a pleasant contrast.
